I wonder if better speakers or headphones would help.

I got a 41.7 % on the tonedeaf test and on the other one the lowest I got was 24 Hz. This sucks.

    6.6 Hz

I'm actually reasonably satisfied with that, given that I don't play a musical instrument and haven't done any singing in a couple of years. I'm sure I could get higher if I focussed more, but I couldn't be arsed.

    first try

At 500 Hz, you can reliably care about differentiating two tones 0.825 Hz apart.

I was wondering about this too. I think that the closer the sound comes to a pure sine wave, the more difficult it would be to discern small differences in frequency. Some people have mentioned using overtones to help them; a really good listening setup or pair of headphones might actually minimize these overtones and make it more difficult to hear the frequency differences.

I just looked. You've been inactive for 7 months. What made you decide to come back?

LOL. Explain to me how your post could be interpreted as sarcastic.

It was sarcastic in that it deliberately ignored your obvious sarcasm. It's a level 6 sarcasm technique; you must not have learned it yet.

got 1.8ish, then 1.2ish after turning my volume up a bit more. I suppose if I focus and replay the tones more often I could get it under 1 but that's about it =/

Which is in most cases indistinguishable from the level one saving-face technique colloquially known as "dude i was joking lol!".

This was much more fun before people started scoring higher than I did. Oh well..
