The Kneel Estate EP is awesome. Re-recordings of molecyl and algorythm are fucking immense, and chrysalis is the shit. the kneel estate remix is okay, but not by them or anything

they were AMAZING live, jesus chrsit. round two tonight!

I really dig some of these guys' tunes. I like cheesy pop music and off beat tech metal, definitely a nice change up.

My fav's on Flux are definitely "Power Is So Yesterday", "Plastik" and "Flux". I feel so fruity listening to and liking "Kneel Estate", but that groove is just so damn catchy.

Nothing fruity about that song... except maybe that the vocalist is an actual fruit.

Just sounds like a collaberation between Justin Timberlake and Third Eye Blind, lol, but I still dig it. However "Plastik" and "Flux" are sick. Those two have good poppy/odd time sig twists to them. Have they toured the states yet? I def gotta check them out if/when they hit the northeast.

they have not toured the states yet. keep digging, you will unravel something far deeper than I believe you are presently perceiving. It's more than odd time sigs. There's a unique and powerful energy and a lyrical quality.

No, I know, lol, I realize I totally just shit on them by comparing that one song to those two artists. They truly are one of a kind. Really good stuff. Original for sure.

This band was recommended by 22 on facebook. Not bad, they have some good tunes, but not worthy of their own thread IMO. www.metheband.com

Just figured I'd share that band in this thread because 22 was pushing them big time. Yet somehow Dream Theater ends up in every god damn thread on Hoopla.

I would recommend sometime during summer, if you guys actually wanted to do this. I'm sure 22 will be playing some festivals or some shit.
Hove, probably...Which is arguably the best festival Norway has.

pledge toward their UK debut LP! http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/22newenergymusic

seems to be a remaster of Flux with some additional tracks not on the original release, and then also a DVD with the entire album recorded live, and possibly some other wacky visual stuff? I got the max bundle full of signed CDs, poster, shirt, and hoodie :D

well they clearly feed off their audience and get people actively involved, and songs will evolve in a live setting. they may start with a slightly new rhythmic pattern related to a main hook/riff, and then call that back later in a tune but have it transposed somehow or presented with different dynamics. idk, its a bit tough for me to articulate, but they have this energy.

also they dedicated a song to me and are insanely gracious human beings

Well most of them are from Trondheim, which has the friendliest (and.. probably most alcoholic) people in Norway, so that might explain the gracious thing.

    anyways, cool.
